FX TERMINAL

Disclaimer

This disclaimer sets out the standing disclosures that govern your use of FX Terminal: the trading-risk and 'not investment advice' warnings, the limits of what our data and backtests can tell you, our FTC affiliate disclosure, the testimonials notice, the rules for our community, and our service-interruption and refund policies.

Trading risk and past performance

Trading foreign exchange, indices, commodities and other leveraged instruments carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage works in both directions, prices gap, and you can lose more than you expected to — never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

Every performance figure on this site, whether it comes from a backtest, a published strategy or somebody's trade journal, describes the past under a stated set of assumptions. It is not a forecast, it is not a promise, and it is not indicative of the returns you will realise.

We are not an adviser, broker or dealer

FX Terminal is not an investment advisory service, a registered investment adviser or a broker-dealer. We do not execute orders, hold client funds, manage money or tell anyone which instruments to buy or sell. Nothing published here is tailored to your circumstances.

Any decision you take after reading a screen, an article or a lesson is your own decision, taken on your own research and at your own risk. Where a decision matters to you, take it to a licensed professional in your jurisdiction before you act on it.

Affiliate compensation and third parties

Some links on this site may be affiliate or referral links, and we may be paid when a visitor opens an account or completes an action with a broker, prop firm or other partner. That compensation never turns a listing into an endorsement, and it costs you nothing extra.

We do not verify or guarantee the solvency, payout terms, platform stability or regulatory standing of any third party we mention. Reviewing a firm's terms and confirming what is lawful and available where you live is your responsibility, not ours.

Frequently asked questions

Is FX Terminal giving me financial advice?

No. Every screen, backtest, article and lesson is published for information and education only, and none of it is tailored to your personal circumstances or objectives.

Do backtests or published results predict future performance?

No. A backtest measures a past sample under stated assumptions, and live trading adds costs, slippage and gaps. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Does FX Terminal earn money from the brokers and prop firms it mentions?

It may. Some outbound links are affiliate links that pay us a referral fee at no extra cost to you, and that payment is never an endorsement of the firm or its products.

Will FX Terminal staff ever message me asking for payment?

Never. We do not direct-message anyone asking for money or account credentials. Treat any such message as an impersonation attempt and report it to us straight away.

Can I get a refund if the site is down for a while?

The research platform is free to use. Where a paid product exists, temporary downtime, bugs or maintenance are not grounds for a refund under the policy on this page.
