FX TERMINAL

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of FX Terminal, a free forex research and analysis platform provided for informational purposes only. They cover acceptable use, the essential 'not investment advice' and trading-risk disclaimers, data accuracy, intellectual property and the limits of our liability.

FX Terminal is research, not advice

Everything on FX Terminal — the charts, the economic calendar, COT positioning, currency strength, sentiment scores, bond yields, technical outlooks, backtests and the Academy — is published for information and education. None of it is investment advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any instrument, and none of it is tailored to your circumstances.

We are not a broker, not a dealer and not a regulated financial adviser. We do not execute orders, hold client funds, or manage money. Any decision you take after reading something here is your own, and you are responsible for it.

Data accuracy and past performance

Market data is aggregated from third-party sources and can be delayed, revised, incomplete or simply wrong. We work hard to catch bad data and we welcome reports of it, but we cannot warrant that any figure on the site is accurate or current, and you should verify anything you intend to act on against your own broker or the original publisher.

Backtests, strategy results and historical statistics describe what happened in a past sample under stated assumptions. They are not a prediction. Real trading carries costs, slippage and gaps that a backtest can understate, and past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Acceptable use and your account

You may use FX Terminal for your own research and learning, including at work. You may not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, resell or redistribute the data feeds, attempt to break its security, or use it to post content that is unlawful, abusive or misleading to other members in the community and idea-sharing features.

If you create a free account you are responsible for keeping the credentials secure and for what happens under it. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the platform or other members, and we may change or withdraw features as the product evolves.

Risk warning

Trading foreign exchange and leveraged products carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage magnifies losses as readily as gains, and it is possible to lose more than your initial deposit with some products and brokers. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose, and seek independent advice from a licensed professional if you are unsure.

Frequently asked questions

Is anything on FX Terminal financial advice?

No. Every screen, article and lesson is published for information and education only. Nothing here is a recommendation, and nothing is tailored to your circumstances.

Is FX Terminal free to use?

Yes. The research platform and the Academy are free, and most of the site works without an account at all.

Can I rely on the market data being accurate?

No warranty is given. The data comes from third parties and can be delayed, revised or incorrect. Verify anything you intend to act on against your broker or the original source.

Do backtest results predict future returns?

No. A backtest describes a past sample under stated assumptions, and real trading adds costs, slippage and gaps. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Can I use FX Terminal's data in my own product?

Not without permission. Personal research use is fine; scraping the site, redistributing the feeds or reselling the data is not. Email us if you have a commercial use in mind.

Who regulates FX Terminal?

Nobody, because FX Terminal is not a financial service. We do not execute trades, hold funds or manage money — we publish research and education.
