Track only the pairs you actually trade

Most traders work a handful of instruments, not the whole board. The watchlist streams live quotes, daily change and session range for the currency pairs and metals you pin, so your markets stay in view while you research elsewhere in the terminal.

It also sits beside the charting workspace, letting you switch instruments without losing your drawings or indicator setup.

Building a watchlist that works

Keep it short and keep it correlated-aware. Watching EUR/USD, GBP/USD and AUD/USD is largely watching the dollar three times — check the correlation matrix and pick one clean expression per theme. Adding a gold or yen cross gives you a genuinely different driver when the dollar goes quiet.

Reading the columns

The quote is the live mid from the price feed, not a broker's dealable price, so expect your own platform to differ by the spread. Daily change is measured from the previous session's close on the same feed, which is why a pair can show a small move at the Asian open and a much larger one by the London afternoon.

The session range is the high and low since the daily open, and it is the fastest read on the list: a pair already trading at the extreme of a range wider than its recent average is usually a poor place to start a new position, and one sitting mid-range in a quiet session is a poor place to expect a breakout.

How many pairs should be on a forex watchlist?

Most consistent traders follow five to ten instruments. Beyond that you get coverage without depth, and highly correlated pairs add screens without adding information.

Is my watchlist saved?

Yes, your selection persists in your browser, so it is there when you come back — no account needed.

Can I add gold and silver to the watchlist?

Yes. Metals such as XAU/USD and XAG/USD can be tracked alongside currency pairs.

Do I need an account to use the watchlist?

No. The watchlist works anonymously and is stored in your browser. An optional free account only exists to carry it, and your chart layouts, across devices.

How often do the prices update?

Quotes stream continuously while the market is open, pushed over a live connection rather than polled, so the list moves in step with the charts elsewhere in the terminal.

Why does the price differ slightly from my broker?

The feed shows a mid price, and every broker quotes its own bid and ask around that mid with its own spread and markup. Use the watchlist to see direction and range; use your broker for the price you can actually trade.
